THE FEEDING PATTERN OF A NEW-BORN BABY
Bullet Hospital is maintaining all methods to encourage breast feeding.
Bullet The new borns who are born in the hospital could be fed only breastmilk.

The knowledge about the positive aspects of breast feeding and the training for encouraging the breast feeding will given by hospital staffs.

Bullet The hospital authorities give sufficient knowledge about the need of breast feeding to mothers.
Bullet Mother should feed the newborn baby within half an hour of normal delivery.
Bullet Mother should feed the new born baby within the four hours of cisserian
Bullet Hospital staffs helps the mothers to feed the new born baby.
Bullet New born baby should not be fed anything (water, glucose, cow-milk, (cerelac) except breast milk.
Bullet Mother should be with the baby for twenty four hours.
Bullet Feed the baby according to baby's hunger.
Bullet Don't practise nipple feeding to the baby.

Upto four months breast milk is sufficient for the baby's growth. It is therefore necessary to add other feeds adequate in nutrients needed for the rapidly growing infant.
